It comes with everything from a Morgan 3-Wheeler to a $15 million Mercedes.
The result is more downforce. Much more downforce.
Ariel was picky about what company it let make an Atom model, because the car's construction makes miniaturization complex.

Managing Editor Steven Ewing drove some $2 million worth of new cars while out in California for Monterey Car Week. Here are his notes following an excellent week of driving.
The Rezvani Motors Beast is ready to go on sale. The low-slung sports car features an Ariel Atom-based chassis that's covered in a carbon-fiber body. The 500-horsepower supercharged and turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder should provide plenty of power to move its 1,650 pounds.
An Ariel Atom and a snowmobile line up side-by-side with a long, straight strip of roadway ahead. In an elemental move that would seemingly bend the contest's favor in the direction of the snowmobile, these machines are racing on a strip of ice.
The average Ariel is quite capable of conquering the track. Now the company is turning its eye to the trails with the new, 1600-pound Nomad off-roader. Offering up around 200 horsepower, it won't be "quite as quick as an Atom," but we doubt it'll be any slouch.
As far as performance machines go, they don't come much more focused than the Ariel Atom. And they keep getting more extreme in their performance capabilities, leading up to the latest version you see here.
In the 2000s, the musical mashup genre saw a peak of popularity with releases like The Grey Album from Danger Mouse that mixed The Beatles and Jay-Z. The supercharged Honda Type R 2.0-liter engine gets help from a new sidepod-mounted intercooler and increased boost from 7.5 to 11 psi, so horsepower rises from 310 to 35
Last we heard of Rezvani Motors and its Beast, we were still recovering from our St. Patrick's Day festivities (note: green beer in every iteration means pain). Back then, it was a mere photo that introduced us to this new, California-based company, although the promises of that photo - sharp bodywork and what looks like a pushrod front suspension - were enough to get us a bit excited about the latest exotic start
David versus Goliath battles are always an enticing proposition, because they offer the chance to watch scrappy underdogs take on their bigger rivals. Evo has set up just such a battle with its latest drag race between the minimalist Ariel Atom 3.5 Supercharged (Ariel Atom 3 pictured below) and the plush Porsche Panamera Turbo S.
Autocar took an Ariel Atom V8, BMW HP4 superbike and X-Games gold medalist Liam Doren's Citroën DS3 rallycross ride to an airstrip for a drag race. Sadly for all the drivers and for us, the clouds took to the sky and poured more and more rain on the track before the big race.
Just last week, we heard reports that the KTM X-Bow would be getting a substantial power increase thanks to a new model using the excellent engine from the Audi TT-RS, but now its rival, the Ariel Atom, cou
For some, the term "electric "motorcycle" evokes images of a dinky, underpowered moped that might have just enough range for a day's worth of errands. But electric vehicle producer Brammo sees something different. Brammo sees a plug-in motorcycle that can compete with many of today's gas-powered sport bikes.
